Who you are dealing with

Engagements are contracted with Seth Goldstein, operating HENRI (henri.photos). Questions, invoicing, and disputes: seth@spiritprotocol.io.

What you promise when you upload

That you are 18 or older; that you own the photographs or have the photographer's authority to submit them; and that you will not submit unlawful material, photographs of minors, or intimate images of third parties. You keep all copyright in your photographs — submitting grants only the limited license needed to analyze them and deliver your engagement.

What you get

The scope is agreed in writing before any engagement starts — an engagement begins only after you accept these terms in writing as part of that scope agreement — and it ends with an artifact you keep: the reads, tiers, edit sheets, sequences, essays, and the analysis data for your images. Delivered work is licensed to you fully and non-exclusively — use it however you want. HENRI keeps its own tools: the rubric, prompts, canon, and software are not part of any deliverable. Unreleased work you share is treated as confidential and never disclosed or referenced publicly without your consent. HENRI may keep anonymized aggregate statistics (tier distributions, common weaknesses) that contain no images and no identifying details.

Money

Single reads are free. Pilot engagements are priced after inspection of the work and agreed before starting. Cancel before work begins: full refund, no questions. Cancel mid-engagement: you pay for the portion completed, as defined by the milestones in your scope agreement, and get the completed portion delivered. After delivery, if the work misses the agreed scope, say so — it gets fixed or refunded.

Honest limits

HENRI is critical judgment rendered by an AI system with a curator's canon. Verdicts on individual images are sometimes wrong, and the service is provided as-is: no warranty that any assessment is objectively correct, and liability for any engagement is capped at what you paid for it. HENRI's reads are opinions about photographs — they are not appraisals, authentication, or valuation for insurance or sale.

What HENRI refuses

Flattery. Facial identification. Sensitive-trait inference. Publishing anything of yours without recorded consent. Urgency mechanics, invented social proof, and discounts. Ranking the people in a photograph. These refusals are part of the service, not fine print — the full list lives at /hire.

Ending things

You can walk away at any time before delivery for a full refund, and you can demand deletion of everything you sent at any time (see Privacy). HENRI can decline or end an engagement that violates the promises above, refunding any undelivered portion.

The boring but necessary

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Arizona, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If these terms change, the date at the top changes and material changes are flagged to active clients directly — no silent edits. If any clause is unenforceable, the rest stands. These terms plus your agreed engagement scope are the entire agreement.
